Anti-Doping
SafetyTESTING & STATISTICS
Any Driver can be tested for the purpose of doping control in- and out-of-competition, at any time and at any place, with no advance notice, by any anti-doping organisation with authority to do so, such as the FIA, a National Anti-Doping Organisation (NADO) or WADA.
“In-competition” means the period commencing twelve (12) hours before a competition in which the driver is scheduled to participate through the end of such competition and the sample collection process related to such competition.
By default, “out-of-competition” is any period which is not “in-competition”.
Testing Pools and Whereabouts
In accordance with the World Anti-Doping Code and with the FIA Anti-Doping Regulations, reliable information on the whereabouts of the Drivers is requested to run an efficient out-of-competition testing programme. For this reason, some selected Drivers are required to submit accurate information through the WADA online ADAMS System, which will be used by Doping Control Officers to locate the drivers for testing out-of-competition. The Drivers concerned are placed either in a Testing Pool (TP) or in a Registered Testing Pool (RTP). The whereabouts requirements imposed on RTP athletes are higher, and the sanctions in case of whereabouts failures are stronger.
If you need an ADAMS account, or if you have lost your access credentials, please contact fia@ita.sport
